Weekend Maintenance Activities – 11/5


SUBJECT: Planned Maintenance Activities
CAMPUSES IMPACTED: Statewide – all times are Indianapolis time (EST)



11/05 – 11/07 – Higher Markets Maintenance – Statewide – begins at 10:00 p.m. on Friday, 11/05

SciQuest will be performing a major upgrade to the Higher Markets system. This will start on Friday evening at 10:00 p.m. and last through 12:00 noon on Sunday, the 7th. During this time, the Higher Markets system will be unavailable.

11/07 – Daylight Savings Time ends – Falling Back – set your clocks back one hour on Saturday night.

And spend Sunday trying to figure out why it’s so dark at 4:00, why you’re so sleepy at 9:00 at night and trying to figure out which device you forgot to reset last spring that later haunted you when you least expected it.


11/12– Network Maintenance (Zayo) – Gary – 10:00 p.m. through 6:00 a.m.

Zayo, one of our network providers, is performing maintenance on a Marion circuit which will actually affect the Gary campus. There will be a network outage at the main Gary campus while the maintenance is being performed.

11/20– Banner Upgrade – Statewide – Outage begins on 11/20 and runs through 5:00 a.m. on November 29th

The Banner upgrade to release 8 is scheduled to begin on Saturday, November 20th. It will run through 5:00 a.m. on the 29th. During this time, Banner INB and SSB, the online admissions application and all Banner third party systems, i.e. Higher Markets, eVisions, etc. will be unavailable. The ODS databases will be down during the same time period and possibly longer as the first refresh process completes.

Campus Connect will be down for brief periods during the Banner 8 upgrade. These outages will be relatively short. Blackboard and the Virtual Library systems will be available during the Banner 8 upgrade.
